String Poets strives to create a unique, tasteful atmosphere for you and your guests with the most skilled, specialized, and professional group of musicians.
We perform as a string duo, string trio, and string quartet in the Richmond metropolitan and surrounding areas for wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate events, and private gatherings.

The Richmond, Va String Quartet, Trio and Duo is a group of professional, experienced, and dependable musicians. They specialize in weddings, corporate events, private dinners, and more. Our experience allows us to work individually with each client to ensure the success of our performance and of the event as a whole.
We play over 150 wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions each year. This means we have mastered the skills of timing, flexibility, and performance and we accomodate for a variety of wedding traditions and song requests. Our vast repertoire ranges from classical and traditional pieces to pop and jazz. If you don't see your favorite song listed in our repertoire, please request it and we will do our best to learn it for your event.

The String Poets did an amazing job providing all the music for our wedding, from ceremony processional and recessional to cocktail hour to reception! These musicians are amazing, incredibly professional, and their sound is amazing. They also have an incredible repertoire, and had all of the pieces we wanted for our Jewish ceremony. Radhi Santos, the contact for the String Poets, was fantastic to work with- he was always very approachable and dedicated to making sure that we got exactly the lovely string quartet music we wanted. All in all, fantastic!! I highly recommend them.
We had the String Poets play at our Catholic ceremony and their music was beautiful! The whole day was a big blur but I knew that the music was great after all of our guests asked about them and complimented them. Then when we watched our video - we again saw how wonderful they were! String Poets set the tone for the entire wedding with their beautiful music and tone. I am a professional musician and I was very particular with the music for my son's wedding. I couldn't have been more pleased. These guys sounded just perfect! They played a non-traditional piece for me as I walked down the aisle - Dvorak's Humoresque No.7 as well as other pieces we selected for the reception. They are finely skilled musicians and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a string trio (they also have a string quartet) for their event.

From the first time I contacted Radhi Santos from String Poets, he was confident and enthusiastic about performing the ceremony and cocktail hour music for our wedding. He listened to what I wanted the atmosphere to be like, and suggested music to create the happy environment I wanted. Radhi was responsive, super professional, and the trio that played at the wedding sounded incredible. When I think back on my wedding day, one of the things I actually remember is the music String Poets was playing. It was nice not having to worry about this part of the wedding; completely worth it!
